Crying Over Spilled Milk

We had company over yesterday and were sitting at the kitchen table playing a card game. I got up in-between hands to make a strawberry matcha smoothie. I poured my smoothie into a cup and was washing out the blender. I set the blender on the counter to dry and it fell over, knocking my smoothie over.... if you can picture it in slow motion... thick pink smoothie spilling everywhere... all over the floor, my rug, the cabinets, the stove, the fridge, my off white tennis shoes, my pants... literally everywhere. I wanted to cry - 1. because of the mess 2. because of the ingredients I lost and 3. because how could I have not seen it coming and been so careless.

In the blink of an eye everyone in the room just left. Gone. Vanished. They said they went outside to "play with the dogs". They knew I needed a moment to collect my thoughts and even longer to clean up the mess. Where do you even begin to clean up a mess like that? One of our guests said, "It looked like someone was murdered in my kitchen." It really did! I wish I had taken a picture of it, but in the moment, that was the furthest thing from my mind.

I took off my shoes so I could walk on the floor in the thick pink gooey substance, now squishing between my toes. Too bad I couldn't absorb the protein from my smoothie through my feet. I grabbed a roll of paper towels and tried to get as much as I could, but it was nearly impossible. I didn't seem to be getting anywhere. Then I remembered the mop I had bought earlier this year. I dried off my feet and went to get the Tineco S3. I keep it on the charger so it is ready to go at any time. I use it every week to mop my floors, but have never had a mess like this to try it out. They say it will clean up spilled milk, cereal, etc. Well now was my time to try it out and it worked great! It sucked up the smoothie and mopped my floor at the same time. I still had to wipe down my cabinets and appliances, but my floor was clean.

I don't know how they knew, but a few seconds after I had wiped down the last thing, my husband peeked his head inside and asked if it was safe for everyone to come back in. We resumed our game and the rest of the day was much less eventful. I did NOT make another smoothie. No way was I going to attempt that again.

I absolutely hate it when I spill things and make messes that make my life more difficult. Some (my husband and children) may say that I am a clean freak. I do like cleanliness and things in order, but having 2 grandsons has definitely made me more accustomed to having messes around.

In conclusion, I am all for paying for things that make life easier. I am so thankful for my Tineco wet mop. If you don't like mopping your floors or maybe you have small kids in the house or dogs running around, or just a lot of hard floors, then you should check out getting a Tineco. It is a cordless wet mop and it is amazing.  I had never heard of them until last year when my daughters asked for one for Christmas. Wow - am I glad they did. It is definitely one of my favorite appliances. I have the Tineco S3 and now it is on sale for $259 HERE. If you want to upgrade and get the next version, the S5 for $349, click HERE. I am not a paid sponsor for Tineco, but maybe I should be 😉.  I just like sharing things with you that might make life easier.
